Job summary

Campbelltown City Council is seeking enthusiastic Learn to Swim Instructors for its Leisure Centres in Campbelltown. The role requires delivering learn to swim classes with an outgoing personality and a positive attitude, including weekend mornings.

Applicants should hold a current Learn to Swim Instructor Certificate (AUSTSWIM/RLSSA/Swim Australia), a Resuscitation certificate, and a Working with Children check, with flexible availability for mornings, afternoons, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Teach Learn to Swim classes at Leisure Centres.
• Plan and deliver Learn to Swim lessons.
• Maintain safety and supervision during sessions.

As part of the Sport, Recreation and Leisure Facilities section, the Leisure Facilities team focus on the delivery of customer centric services and programs that meet the health and wellbeing needs of Campbelltown’s growing population.

About the role:

Campbelltown City Council is working towards being a progressive organisation and we have new and exciting opportunities for enthusiastic Learn to Swim Instructors.

Council's Leisure Services currently include:

• The Gordon Fetterplace Aquatic Centre

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:

• Available to work morning and afternoon, Saturday and/or Sunday mornings.
• Available to work at any of the three Aquatic Facilities.
• You have current industry recognised Learn to Swim Instructor Certificate (AUSTSWIM: Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety, RLSSA: Swim Teacher License, or Swim Australia: Swim Teacher Australia).
• You have current Resuscitation certificate.
• You have knowledge of how to instruct and plan learn to swim classes.
• You possess effective communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
• You have valid Working with Children check
