Mingara Recreation Club is seeking a friendly learn-to-swim coach to join our aquatics team. No prior experience required—just a passion for working with children, a love of the water and a can-do attitude.

In this role you’ll help build confidence in the water, support families and grow with a large community club. The position includes funded Swim Teacher Licence training and generous staff perks across Mingara facilities.

Qualifications

• A love for being in the water.
• A passion for teaching children a valuable life skill.
• Full availability across operating hours (morning and afternoon classes).
• Ability to obtain Swim Teacher Licence (funded by us).
• Excellent people and communication skills.
• Think on your feet and show initiative.
• Current Working with Children Check or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support learn-to-swim sessions for children.
• Foster water confidence and safe practice in the pool.
• Provide friendly, patient coaching and communication with families.
