Job summary

Alspec is seeking a Process & Quality Improvement Manager to lead branch-level Lean Six Sigma and process-engineering initiatives. You will drive DMAIC projects to reduce waste, improve product quality, and build capability across the shop floor within the Albury site.

Key responsibilities include implementing QMS/NCR/RMA/OEE processes, coaching teams, and collaborating with operations and suppliers to enhance quality and material flow, with a focus on digitalisation and national quality

Qualifications

10–15 years' experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or similar.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification (Black Belt exposure desirable).
Strong background in process improvement and continuous improvement methodologies.
Proven ability to lead hands-on problem-solving on the shop floor.
Experience with NCR, RMA, OEE, and quality reporting systems.
Strong analytical, communication, and coaching skills.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Lead and deliver process improvement and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt projects to reduce waste, defects, and variation.
Apply process engineering principles to optimise workflows, cycle times, and operational efficiency.
Facilitate structured problem-solving (RCA, 5 Whys, Fishbone, DMAIC) to address recurring issues.
Implement and enhance QMS, NCR, RMA, and OEE processes within the ERP environment.
Drive a continuous improvement culture through coaching, training, and hands-on leadership.
Collaborate with operations, warehouse, and supplier teams to improve incoming quality and material flow.
Support digitalisation, automation, and error-proofing initiatives aligned with the national quality strategy.
Provide accurate reporting on scrap, RMAs, cost of quality, and CI performance.
