Job summary

Cochlear is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead and manage manufacturing resources to deliver short-term targets in line with the overall manufacturing strategy. The role will require the development and execution of plans to meet critical business outcomes including developing people and teams, achieving quality and delivery targets, while maintaining a safe work environment.

This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract based in either Cochlear's Macquarie University or Lane Cove sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Engineering degree preferred.
• Lean manufacturing culture leader, problem solver and waste eliminator.
• Confident communication in 1:1 or group settings; ability to influence via coaching.

Responsibilities

• Establish, develop and coach team to meet current and future business needs.
• Develop and drive short term (daily & weekly) delivery of production targets in areas of People, Quality, Capacity, Customer Service and Cost.
• Identify and manage risks to volume, quality or product cost with cross‑department collaboration.
• Apply lean tools and techniques consistently across Manufacturing.
• Support introduction and commercialisation of new technologies and products with V&V and PIP ramp processes.
• Lead continuous improvement programs to increase capacity and reduce cost.
• Develop and execute an overall talent plan with other departments and stakeholders.
• Engage team members and leaders through people processes and coaching.
