Job summary

Wyndham Park Primary School in Werribee seeks an experienced leading teacher to advance literacy, numeracy and whole‑school improvement. You will guide curriculum planning, support teachers with high‑impact strategies and use data to inform practice, while fostering strong home–school partnerships and staff professional learning.

The role emphasises collaborative leadership, student wellbeing, and building a positive, inclusive school culture within a trauma‑informed framework.

Qualifications

• SC1: Demonstrated expert knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to lead literacy and numeracy initiatives across the school.
• SC2: Ability to plan and implement high impact teaching strategies and evaluate their impact on student growth.
• SC3: Skilled in monitoring and assessing learning using data to drive improvement.
• SC4: Strong interpersonal and leadership skills for collaboration with students, families and staff.
• SC5: Models department values and supports professional learning across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage whole‑school improvement initiatives aligned to priorities and the strategic plan.
• Coordinate curriculum planning and delivery to raise teaching quality and student outcomes.
• Support professional development and individual/team development plans for staff.
• Oversee staff performance, feedback, and evaluation processes.
• Lead the development of assessment policies and reporting practices.
• Contribute to school operations, welfare, and disciplinary policies.
• Drive curriculum development in key learning areas and support other disciplines.
