Job summary

Berwick Fields Primary School in Melbourne seeks a Leading Teacher to lead teaching and learning and support wellbeing across the school. The role focuses on improving literacy and numeracy, instructional coaching, and building capacity among teachers to deliver high-quality learning experiences.

As a senior practitioner, you will work with three APs, LT and LS roles to implement school priorities, support data-driven improvement, and foster collaborative professional learning across Foundation

Qualifications

• Provisional or full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
• Evidence of capability to lead curriculum and teaching improvements.
• Experience in coaching and developing staff to raise student outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage school-wide literacy and numeracy improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate and support teaching staff through coaching and model lessons.
• Collaborate with leaders to implement priorities in the school strategic plan.
• Monitor and report on student learning growth and program impact.
• Contribute to school-wide professional learning and assessment practices.
