Job summary

Contec Recruitment Pty Ltd is seeking a hands-on Leading Hand or Junior Foreman for a luxury 12-storey waterfront development on the Gold Coast. You will work with the Site Manager and project team to keep trades coordinated and the program moving safely and to a high standard.

Ideal candidates will have prior Leading Hand or Junior Foreman experience on multi-residential or high-rise projects, the ability to read plans, and strong communication to drive quality and accountability on site.

Qualifications

• Previous Leading Hand or Junior Foreman experience on multi-residential or high-rise projects.
• Strong ability to read plans and drawings.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills; proactive problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and trades on site.
• Assist with day-to-day management of site activities.
• Ensure works are completed in accordance with plans, specs and program.
• Coordinate materials, deliveries and site logistics.
• Identify and resolve issues before they impact the program.
• Assist with inspections, quality control and defect management.
• Read and interpret architectural and construction drawings.
• Work with Site Manager to plan upcoming works.
• Take ownership of allocated areas and drive them through to completion.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high-end, 12-storey waterfront project in Palm Beach, surrounded by a solid and experienced project team.

You’ll be working closely with the Site Manager and wider project team, playing a key role in coordinating trades and keeping the project moving safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

The role will involve:

• Supervising and coordinating subcontractors and trades on site
• Assisting with the day-to-day management of site activities

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is hands-on, organised and ready to take the next step.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Leading Hand or Junior Foreman
• Experience on multi-residential, apartment or high-rise projects is a MUST
• Strong knowledge of construction processes and sequencing
• The ability to confidently read plans and drawings
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• A proactive approach and ability to solve problems on the go
• High standards when it comes to quality and workmanship
• The confidence to coordinate trades and hold people accountable
