Job summary

Emeco is seeking an experienced Leading Hand Heavy Diesel Fitter to lead our maintenance team at Foxleigh Mine. The role suits someone who mentors tradespeople, drives safe, efficient work practices, and stays hands-on with tools.

Work spans workshop and field maintenance; you will coordinate daily crew activities, support breakdown response, and keep our fleet in top condition.

Qualifications

• Australian recognised trade qualification.
• Leading Hand or senior fitter experience.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability.
• Experience across workshop and field maintenance.
• Coal mining maintenance experience.
• Current Australian driver's licence.
• Standard 11 & Coal Board Medical (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and police clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance team and mentor tradespeople in safe, efficient practices.
• Coordinate day-to-day crew activities across workshop and field maintenance.
• Support breakdown response and keep fleet performing at its best.
