Job summary

Sydney Pressed Metal in Sydney, NSW, is seeking a hands-on Site Supervisor to manage decorative metal panel installations from start to finish. You will lead a small crew on varied sites, including heritage buildings, ensuring precise set-outs, fit and finish, and on-time delivery while solving on-site challenges.

The role offers a clear path to Site Supervisor in around two years, a 7am–3:30pm schedule, and a company vehicle with private use.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience with strong all-round site skills
• Experience running a job or leading others, even on small jobs
• High standards and accuracy in set-out, measurement and finish
• The patience to teach an apprentice properly
• White Card and driver’s licence

Job description

• Precision work where the finish is on show: David Jones Sydney CBD, Parliament House, the Mercantile Hotel in The Rocks
• Report directly to the owners, with no layers in between
• Pathway to Site Supervisor in around two years, based on performance

The work

Sydney Pressed Metal installs decorative metal panels on ceilings, walls and architectural features. Every job is different: heritage buildings that are never square, detailed set-outs and finishes that sit in full view of the public. It’s work people notice and you can point to for years. If you like solving problems on site and getting it exactly right, this is the work.

We’ve been doing it for 15 years with a team of six, based in Caringbah.

What you’ll own

What you’ll need

• Trade qualification as a carpenter, plasterer, shopfitter or roofer
• 5+ years’ experience with strong all-round site skills
• Experience running a job or leading others, even on small jobs
• High standards and accuracy in set-out, measurement and finish
• The patience to teach an apprentice properly
• White Card and driver’s licence
• Pressed metal experience is preferred but not required

The package

• $100,000 – $130,000 + super, based on experience
• Company vehicle with private use, fuel and tolls covered
• 7am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional night work paid at penalty rates
• Sydney metro jobs, with occasional regional work
• Step up to Site Supervisor in around two years, based on performance
