Job summary

Thomas More College in Adelaide invites applications for the Leader of Educational Intelligence, Data and AI (POR4). This four-year POR sits with the Principal's Team and also includes a permanent full-time teaching role, enabling strategic use of learner data and AI to inform teaching, wellbeing, and school improvement.

You will lead data strategy, develop dashboards, build staff capability in data and AI literacy, and collaborate across teaching, wellbeing, leadership and ICT.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead the educational intelligence strategy across data to support informed decision-making.
• Analyse learner trends to enable earlier intervention and improved outcomes.
• Develop an ethical, safe, and educationally sound approach to Artificial Intelligence across the College.
• Provide strategic advice to leaders on AI opportunities, risks, governance, and emerging technologies.
• Lead the design and continuous improvement of dashboards, analytics, reporting systems, and learner data solutions.
• Build staff capability in data literacy, AI literacy, evidence-informed practice, and disciplined inquiry through professional learning and coaching.
• Lead innovation initiatives, pilots, and future-focused educational projects aligned with the College's strategic direction.
• Chair the College's Data Management Team and collaborate with teaching, wellbeing, leadership, and ICT stakeholders.
• Contribute to strategic planning, school improvement priorities, policy development, and organisational learning.

We are seeking an exceptional educational leader to join our Principal's Team as the Leader of Educational Intelligence, Data and AI (POR 4). This exciting leadership position sits at the intersection of learning, wellbeing, learner data, artificial intelligence, and innovation, transforming complex information into meaningful educational intelligence that empowers teachers and leaders to improve student outcomes.

This role is offered as a 4-year Position of Responsibility (POR 4) in addition to a permanent full-time teaching position at the College. Working collaboratively across teaching, wellbeing, leadership, and ICT teams, you will lead the strategic use of educational data and AI, build staff capability, and help shape the future of learning at Thomas More College.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the College's educational intelligence strategy, connecting learning, wellbeing, engagement, attendance, achievement, and learner profile data to support informed decision-making.
• Analyse and interpret learner trends and emerging patterns to enable earlier intervention and improved student outcomes.
• Develop and implement an ethical, safe, and educationally sound approach to Artificial Intelligence across the College.
• Provide strategic advice to leaders on AI opportunities, risks, governance, and emerging technologies.

About You

• Teaching qualifications and experience, with a strong understanding of contemporary teaching, learning, and student wellbeing.
• Demonstrated experience working with data analytics, dashboards, reporting tools, business intelligence platforms, or learner management systems.
• A sound understanding of Artificial Intelligence, including its educational applications, ethical considerations, privacy requirements, and governance.
• Experience leading improvement initiatives, professional learning, coaching, or organisational change.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify patterns, interpret evidence, and communicate insights effectively.
• The ability to build trusted relationships, influence practice, and collaborate across educational and technical teams.
• Highly developed communication, project management, and organisational skills.
