Job summary

CSIRO is recruiting an experienced, culturally grounded leader to shape governance of Indigenous data and ICIP. You will work with Indigenous communities, CSIRO’s Indigenous Science and Engagement Office, and other units to develop policies, frameworks and practices that uphold Indigenous rights, sovereignty and benefit.

• High level of cultural capability shaped by Indigenous knowledge and lived experience.
• Experience and understanding of research with Indigenous peoples.
• Demonstrated governance and IP principles related to Indigenous data.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of governance policies for Indigenous data and ICIP.
• Oversee ICIP compliance and commitments.
• Provide strategic Indigenous knowledge to inform policy and decision-making.
• Collaborate to embed governance principles across CSIRO research and enterprise activities.
• Represent CSIRO on committees and liaise on Indigenous data governance.
