Job summary

CSIRO is seeking a culturally grounded leader to shape governance of Indigenous Data and ICIP. You will develop policies, frameworks and practices upholding Indigenous rights, sovereignty and self-determination, collaborating with Indigenous communities, CSIRO's Indigenous Science and Engagement Office, and other units.

You will provide strategic leadership across Indigenous Data and ICIP, embedding culturally safe approaches across CSIRO's research and enterprise activities, and represent CSIRO

Qualifications

• High level of cultural capability shaped by Indigenous ways of knowing, being and doing.
• Indigenous knowledge, community connection and cultural authority.
• Experience in Indigenous governance or research.
• Ability to influence strategic outcomes and policy direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead CSIRO's Governance of Indigenous Data Framework and ICIP policies.
• Oversee ICIP compliance and commitments.
• Provide Indigenous knowledge to inform strategy and decision-making.
• Collaborate to embed governance principles across CSIRO activities.
• Represent CSIRO on internal and external committees.
• Monitor national and international trends and translate into policies.
• Develop training and reporting approaches to strengthen understanding.
