ACT Steelworks in New South Wales is seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor/Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day running of our busy steel fabrication workshop. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for organising people, workflows and ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standard.

You will work closely with management, project teams and the shop floor to keep jobs moving, plan labour, allocate tasks, read fabrication drawings and maintain high

Qualificações

• Experience in structural steel fabrication or heavy fabrication environment.
• Experience supervising or leading a workshop team.
• Strong understanding of fabrication drawings and workshop processes.
• Ability to plan work, prioritise jobs and manage deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Managing day-to-day workshop operations and workflow
• Planning labour and allocating work across the workshop
• Coordinating fabrication priorities against project and dispatch requirements
• Supervising and supporting boilermakers, welders, apprentices and other workshop employees
• Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings
• Monitoring progress and identifying problems before they affect delivery
• Maintaining fabrication quality and workmanship standards
• Maintaining good housekeeping, organisation and workshop standards
• Ensuring WHS procedures and safe systems of work are followed
• Continually looking for practical ways to improve workshop efficiency
