Job summary

Motion Bound Pictures is a Sydney-based content and production company specialising in construction, events, social media content and real estate. We’re seeking a Lead Video & Photo Editor to own the post-production department, edit hands-on, and later lead a growing team.

The role is full-time and based in Kellyville, NSW, with a focus on quality control, colour grading, and mentoring editors. You’ll work closely with the Production Manager on scheduling and delivery.

Lead Video & Photo Editor / Post-Production Manager

Motion Bound Pictures is a Sydney-based content and production company specialising in construction, events, social media content and real estate.

We’re looking for an experienced Lead Video & Photo Editor to take ownership of the quality and day-to-day operation of our post-production department.

This is a full-time, hands-on editing role based in Kellyville, NSW. You’ll spend a significant portion of your time editing photo and video projects yourself, while also overseeing the quality of work completed by our local and offshore editing team.

As Motion Bound Pictures grows, this role will progressively develop into leading our wider post-production team, helping us maintain a consistently high standard as editing volume increases.

The Role

You will be responsible for editing a mix of construction, event, social media content and real estate videos, including property videos, project updates, interviews, testimonials, reels and photography.

A major part of this role is quality control. You’ll review work completed by other editors before delivery and be responsible for ensuring that everything leaving post-production meets the Motion Bound Pictures standard.

Exceptional colour grading skills are extremely important. You need a strong eye for colour, exposure, skin tones and consistency across different cameras, lighting conditions and shooting profiles. We are looking for someone who can not only produce excellent work themselves, but confidently identify when another editor’s work is not at the required level and provide the direction needed to correct it.

You’ll work closely with our Production Manager, who manages bookings, client communication and overall production scheduling. Your focus will specifically be on post-production, editing quality and the editing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit professional video content using Adobe Premiere Pro, with After Effects where required

• Edit photography using Lightroom/Photoshop and AI tools such as Imagen.

• Complete high-quality colour correction and grading across a variety of cameras and shooting conditions

• QC video, photography, drone imagery and other deliverables before they reach clients

• Manage and provide feedback to local, freelance and offshore editors

• Maintain consistent editing styles, templates and quality standards across client accounts

• Help train and develop future editors as the post-production team expands

• Improve editing workflows, pre-sets, templates and systems to increase efficiency without compromising quality

• Work with the Production Manager to ensure post-production deadlines and priorities are met

• Be willing to jump in and support the wider team when needed on other related tasks that help progress the business

About You

You’re an experienced video & photo editor with an exceptional eye for detail.

You understand that strong post-production isn't just about making something look good — it’s about maintaining a consistent professional standard across a large volume of work.

You should be confident in Premiere Pro, Lightroom and Photoshop, with a good working knowledge of After Effects. Strong experience in colour grading, audio, pacing and visual storytelling is essential.

Experience editing real estate property videos and photography is highly regarded, as is previous experience reviewing, managing or training other editors.

We’re looking for someone who is comfortable taking ownership. If something isn't up to standard, you notice it, fix it and help prevent the same issue from happening again.

Salary & Benefits

Base rate: $40 per hour + superannuation

This role is also eligible for our team-based performance bonus program, which rewards the core team as Motion Bound Pictures reaches its growth and profitability targets. It is uncapped

The position is based on a full-time 37.5-hour working week.

Our goal is to continue expanding our ongoing content and social partnerships while building a larger production and post-production team around the business. A major future step for MBP is the development of our own dedicated production studio, creating further opportunities across commercial content, studio production and larger creative projects.

This role is pivotal to that next stage.

As our production volume grows, we need someone who can take ownership of post-production — maintaining the creative standard, developing our editors and building the systems that allow the department to scale.
