Job summary

Perilya is seeking an experienced Lead Mining Engineer to provide leadership for the mine planning function at the Broken Hill Operation. You will lead the development of short- to long-term plans, work with operations, geology, and geotechnical teams, and mentor a team of planning engineers to deliver practical, safe, and value-driven mine plans that align with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor of Engineering in Mining is essential.
• Minimum 5+ years of underground mine planning experience.
• Experience in hard rock underground mining is essential.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor engineers.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of short, medium, and long-term mine plans.
• Coordinate life-of-mine planning activities and design optimisations.
