Job summary

Dahlsens Building Centres Pty is seeking a hands-on Leading Hand Truss Production to supervise daily production of timber trusses and frames. You will work closely with the Production Manager, motivate the team, and ensure targets, quality, and safety standards are met across the manufacturing floor.

You will coordinate workflow, interpret production plans and drawings, troubleshoot on the shop floor, and uphold our commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction on every job site.

Qualifications

• Experience in timber manufacturing or related building products industry.
• Proven leadership and people management skills.
• Ability to interpret production plans and technical drawings.
• Commitment to safety and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and motivate the production team during daily operations.
• Coordinate with the Production Scheduler to meet targets and delivery deadlines.
• Provide on-the-job training and support for new and existing staff.
• Monitor quality control processes and inspect finished products.
• Troubleshoot machinery and equipment on the shop floor.
• Maintain accurate records of production output, attendance, and materials usage.
• Promote a positive, collaborative team culture.
• Ensure compliance with WHS policies and procedures.
• Work with site HSR to ensure safe operations.
