Job summary

DHL Supply Chain Australia is seeking a Transport Supervisor in Queensland to lead a team of up to 20 staff and oversee daily logistics operations using advanced technology. You will empower the team, optimize resources, and maintain strong customer relations in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes leadership, ownership of the department, and adherence to CoR with load restraint and fatigue management. A customer-focused, safety-conscious mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a 3PL warehouse with warehousing principles.
• Industry experience within Transport is essential.
• Proven performance management and strong leadership experience.
• Strong ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
• Continuous improvement and problem-solving skills.
• Engage, motivate and lead people to achieve team goals.
• Solid knowledge of the Metropolitan area essential.
• CoR experience essential with emphasis on load restraint and fatigue management.
• High level planning and organizational skills for operation excellence.
• Ownership mindset to take charge of a department.
• Promote First Choice initiatives and a safe working environment.
• Superior software skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop an operational team of up to 20 employees.
• Manage the allocation of resources to achieve agreed objectives and targets.
• Direct, monitor and manage the activities of coordinators/team leaders in the management functions to extend individual skills and achieve overall objectives.
• Maintain and build effective relationships with customers.
• Meet time-specific deadlines.
