Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Lead Technical Services Officer to join our Rowville team in Melbourne. The role provides technical support, training, and documentation across Eaton's MV product range, delivering training, developing documentation, and supporting testing and commissioning activities.

The ideal candidate has MV electrical experience, HV testing skills, and the ability to lead technicians across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified Electrician or Electrical Engineering qualification.
• Proven MV electrical systems knowledge and HV testing experience.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and drawings.
• Strong communication and training delivery skills.
• Experience leading multiple projects and mentoring technicians.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical training and competency development across Eaton’s MV portfolio.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures and training resources.
• Provide expert technical support for testing, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
• Support fault finding and resolution of electrical, mechanical, protection and control system issues.
• Participate in FATs, customer witness testing and technical reviews.
• Collaborate with customers, service teams and engineering stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
• Mentor technicians and drive continuous improvement across training, documentation and service delivery.
• Travel domestically and internationally to support customer, training and project requirements.

We are seeking a Lead Technical Services Officer to join the team in Rowville. This role provides technical support, training, and documentation services across Eaton's Medium Voltage (MV) product range. The role is responsible for delivering product training, developing technical documentation, supporting testing and commissioning activities, and providing technical assistance to customers and service teams. This is an office-based role with occasional travel requirements, suited to a candidate wanting to transition from site-based works to an office-based role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver technical training and competency development across Eaton’s Medium Voltage portfolio.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures and training resources.
• Provide expert technical support for testing, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
• Support fault finding and resolution of electrical, mechanical, protection and control system issues.
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), customer witness testing and technical reviews.
• Collaborate with customers, service teams and engineering stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
• Mentor technicians and drive continuous improvement across training, documentation and service delivery.
• Travel domestically and internationally to support customer, training and project requirements.

You will bring:

• Trade-qualified Electrician and/or Electrical Engineering qualification.
• Strong experience with Medium Voltage (MV) electrical systems and equipment.
• High Voltage (HV) testing and commissioning experience.
• Sound knowledge of MV switchgear, transformers, protection and secondary systems.
• Experience in testing, fault finding and commissioning activities.
• Strong technical reporting and documentation skills.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
• Excellent communication, presentation and training skills.
• Strong problem-solving and customer relationship skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and lead technical outcomes across multiple projects.
• Electrical Contractor Licence (or willingness to obtain).
• Qualified Technical Person (QTP) accreditation (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience with Eaton Medium Voltage products desirable
