Job summary

Auburn High School in Victoria is seeking a Leading Teacher to advance student leadership, community engagement and excellence in teaching. The role will involve coordinating staff, modelling best practice, and supporting teachers to implement school priorities outlined in the strategic plan.

You will lead curriculum development and assessment policies, coach colleagues, monitor student progress, and collaborate with families and the wider school community to raise outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead school-wide priorities and programs.
• Experience coordinating staff and providing coaching to teachers.
• Commitment to student learning growth, wellbeing and engagement.
• Understanding of Victorian teaching standards and school policy.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage whole-school improvement initiatives aligned with the school plan.
• Coordinate curriculum planning and delivery improvements across year levels.
• Provide professional development and develop individual and team development plans for teaching staff.
• Monitor staff performance and contribute to staff development and mentoring.
• Develop and implement assessment and reporting policies and practices.
