Job summary

Saab Australia is seeking a Senior Support Systems Engineer – Land Capability to lead engineering support, systems integration, verification and configuration management for a major Defence Land Capability program. You will establish and operate the Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL) and manage engineering baselines across the program lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in Systems Engineering, including complex military/software-intensive systems.
• Proven capability leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and technical workstreams.
• Experience delivering systems engineering within ASDEFCON environments.
• Strong requirements management, architecture, design, integration, verification and validation.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain engineering baselines (functional, allocated, product, configuration).
• Lead establishment of Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL) including design, planning and acceptance.
• Manage system engineering documentation and traceability across lifecycle.
• Elicit and manage internal/external stakeholder requirements.
• Provide technical leadership across hardware/software integration, verification, validation and acceptance.
• Support technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) and demonstrations.
• Manage configuration changes and engineering change activities.
• Lead analysis of test results and drive corrective actions.
• Coordinate activities across internal teams, customers, and subcontractors.
• Mentor engineers and foster high-performance culture.
