Job summary

Saab Australia is seeking a Senior Specialty Engineering Lead - Land Capability to guide system engineering across safety, security, ILS, and data management. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, mentor engineers, and ensure delivery aligns with ASDEFCON standards.

With 8+ years in complex, software-intensive systems, you’ll shape technical strategy, perform task estimation, participate in reviews, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced defence environment.

Qualifications

Minimum of 8 years of experience in systems engineering, with significant experience in complex systems and software intensive systems.

Responsibilities

Identify and plan Specialty Engineering tasks to ensure activities are adequately scoped.
Deliver Specialty Engineering activities as part of project scope, in accordance with approved plans.
Provide Specialty Engineering advice and services to support project and business activities.
Monitor and Report on Specialty Engineering tasks.
Estimation of Specialty Engineering activities.
Engineering delivery quality assurance.
Participate or if delegated coordinate in working groups.
Participate in Product and Project/Program MSRs.
Participate in Product IPRs.
