Job summary

ASC Pty Ltd in Osborne, South Australia, is seeking an experienced Specialist Systems Engineer to lead governance and technical assurance for Australia's AUKUS submarine program. You will drive design, integration, verification and certification of complex submarine systems.

This role is based on site in SA and involves shaping engineering governance, mentoring engineers and delivering safe, compliant, high-integrity solutions in a regulated defence environment.

Qualifications

• Experience applying systems engineering principles across the lifecycle.
• Expertise in requirements management, systems integration, verification and validation.
• Experience with governance, configuration management and risk.
• Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the application of Systems Engineering processes across the full lifecycle.
• Support configuration management, change control, and governance activities.
• Collaborate with AUKUS partners to deliver complex systems outcomes.
• Lead the development of Engineering governance plans and processes.
• Drive verification, validation and certification activities.
• Conduct trade studies, technical investigations, risk assessments and analyses.
• Provide technical governance and specialist systems engineering expertise.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Mentor engineers and promote best practice in systems engineering.
