Job summary

SYPAQ Systems is seeking 2 System Integration Analysts with IBM Sterling experience for a Federal Government Department. This 12-month contract, with potential extension, offers opportunities across Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, and Brisbane.

You will translate business requirements into technical designs, oversee Sterling platform capabilities, and ensure cyber-compliant ICT solutions while supporting build, test, and deployment stages.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience with IBM Sterling products.
• Expert knowledge of Sterling Integrator and B2B integration.
• Experience preparing design documentation for technical staff.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with relevant infrastructure teams to procure, design and configure hardware/assets associated with Sterling.
• Oversee the design, installation and operation of the Sterling landscape and the instances.
• Provide technical support in delivering project capabilities during build, test and deployment phases.
• Oversee and prepare a range of technical documentation and reports.
• Deliver an optimal strategic solution based on the system landscape.
• Oversee the ICT system design to ensure it meets performance standards.
• Maintain patches and support packages for all technical layers to ensure the platform is cyber compliant.

Due to an increased demand within our business, SYPAQ are seeking 2 System Integration Analysts with experience in IBM Sterling products for an opportunity with a Federal Government Department. This is a 12-month contract with a potential start of January 2027 plus 24 months of potential extensions.

Overview:

Integration Analysts translate business requirements into technical requirements that align with relevant architectures. Integration Analysts are responsible for driving competitive advantage for the agency, helping to define and articulate the strategy for a designated industry or solution area. They are responsible for the delivery of all ICT application services necessary to achieve strategic objectives and lead the deployment of future functionality and enhancements to existing ICT solutions.

The Integration Analyst is responsible for the management and implementation of Sterling platform capabilities by following IBM Sterling Architecture standards.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• liaise with relevant infrastructure team(s) in the procurement, design and configuration of hardware and related assets associated with Sterling product
• oversee the design, installation and operation of the sterling landscape and the instances
• provide technical support in delivering project capabilities during build, test and deployment phases
• oversee and prepare a range of technical documentation and reports

• responsible for the delivery of an optimal strategic solution based on the system landscape
• oversee the design, installation and operation of the ICT system to ensure it meets performance standards
• oversee the regular maintenance of patches and support packages for all technical layers to ensure the platform is cyber compliant

Required Skills & Experience

• 3 to 5 years of experience in IBM Sterling products and experience delivering projects within quality standards
• Expert knowledge and experience in integration technologies, including but not limited to Sterling, Sterling Integrator, Sterling B2B.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in preparing design documentation for use by other technical staff.
