Job summary

SYPAQ Group is seeking an Associate Systems Analyst to join our Canberra team, supporting a Federal Government client with a hybrid working arrangement across ACT, QLD, VIC or SA. You will analyse business processes, help design software components, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver solutions while preparing documentation and training materials.

The role requires Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain Australian Defence Security Clearance Baseline Minimum.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in requirements definition and management.
• Demonstrated experience in design of moderately complex software applications or components.
• Australian Citizen with the ability to hold Australian Defence Security Clearance Baseline Minimum.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis and evaluation of business processes and requirements.
• Support the creation and implementation of solutions to meet business needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure effective and timely implementation of projects.

SYPAQ is currently looking for an Associate Systems Analyst to join our team in either QLD, ACT, VIC or SA supporting a Federal Government client. This long-term opportunity offers multiple extension options and a Hybrid working environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform analysis and evaluation of business processes and requirements
• Support the creation and implementation of solutions to meet business needs
• Support the creation and maintenance of solution documents
• Provide support to daily operations and monitor performance of business solutions
• Adhere to delivery and support methodologies and contribute ideas for improvement
• Perform technical application assessments considering risks and benefits
• Escalate issues as required and suggest alternative approaches and solutions
• Assist with cost analysis activities as required
• Support the life cycle of changes and improvements to systems
• Provide training, guidance and support for new staff where required
• Conduct testing activities such as test coverage reviews, formal or informal test execution and test planning
• Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues, solve problems and ensure effective and timely implementation of projects
• Undertake project quality management tasks such as peer and quality reviews of specifications and design documents
• Prepare correspondence such as reports and technical documentation for review by senior staff
