Job summary

Boart Longyear Ltd. is seeking an experienced Surface Diamond Driller to join our Western Australia operations. You will lead drill crews, conduct 12-hour shift operations, and ensure safety and compliance on site.

The role requires previous surface drilling experience, LM/MDR rig familiarity, a current driver's license, and the ability to pass medical and drug/alcohol screening. We offer permanent ongoing employment, competitive rates, and strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Previous Surface Dr drilling experience essential.
• Experience working with an LM or MDR rig is essential.
• Current Drivers Licence.
• National Police Clearance, or ability to obtain one.
• First Aid and CPR certificate (desirable).
• Certificate III in Drilling desirable, but not essential.
• Physical ability to lift 30kg repetitively.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including a drug/alcohol screen.
• Demonstrated personal commitment to safety.
• Be a team player.
• Right to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Conducting drilling operations over a 12-hour shift.
• Leading drill crews, including training of Driller Assistants.
• Daily pre-start equipment checks.
• General maintenance.
• Setting up drill pads and coordinating rig moves.
• Completion of safety documentation and compliance with safe work practices.
