Job summary

AusNet is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to deliver transmission substation projects in Melbourne. You will apply primary engineering knowledge to complex designs and develop scopes and specifications for construction.

The role includes reviewing brownfield and greenfield designs, assessing operability, safety and constructibility, and leading a skilled team. You should bring a degree in engineering with utilities experience, familiarity with AS2067, and demonstrated capability in

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with demonstrated experience in utilities and primary electrical design.
• Experience in Terminal Station & Substation design and studies.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards (e.g. AS2067) and design for up to 500kV.

Responsibilities

• Apply primary engineering knowledge to complex substation design projects.
• Develop scopes and specifications for design and construction and review brownfield/greenfield designs.
• Provide RFI support during project life cycle and drive design improvements.
• Identify opportunities to improve standards and deliver efficient solutions.
• Lead, coach and mentor team members, sharing knowledge and experience.
