Job summary

AusNet Services Ltd is seeking a Group Leader, Primary Engineering in Victoria to lead a team of engineers delivering detailed primary designs for transmission substations and lines. You will work closely with project managers and external partners to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality delivery of complex infrastructure projects.

The role requires tertiary electrical engineering qualifications, deep technical knowledge of substations and transmission lines, and strong leadership to coach

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Detailed technical knowledge of electricity networks engineering.
• Ability to simplify complex engineering analysis for non-engineers.
• Advanced commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to a team of engineers delivering primary designs for transmission substations and lines.
• Review technical requirements and ensure alignment with other disciplines.
• Develop scopes and specifications for designs and manage documentation via Design Delivery Partners.
• Review and assess brownfield and greenfield substation designs for constructability and safety.
• Identify, manage and mitigate technical risks across projects.
