Job summary

Fugro, the world’s leading Geo-data specialist, is seeking a Lead (Subsea) Project Engineer for upcoming subsea and ROV projects based in West Perth, with offshore site visits. You will lead engineering teams, coordinate with Project Managers and clients, and drive HS&E and commercial outcomes.

Ideal candidates have extensive subsea/offshore experience and a BE in mechanical/mechatronic/ocean/naval disciplines, plus proficiency with CAD tools and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in subsea/offshore engineering and project delivery.
• Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical, mechatronic, structural, or ocean engineering, or naval architecture.
• MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Project knowledge; AutoCAD and SolidWorks desirable.
• Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a full, valid work visa.

Responsibilities

• Execute project work scopes with Project Manager, Project Engineers and Operational Team.
• Interface and communicate with clients.
• Take responsibility for large and/or multiple work packages and ensure HSE / quality and commercial delivery.
• Evaluate and enhance emerging and existing engineering technologies, collaborating with the Engineering team to integrate them into projects.
• Supervise and guide senior and project engineers through technical development, design review, constructability, HAZID workshops, and offshore execution.
• Review all engineering documentation prior to Project Manager / Client approval.
• Collaborate with the project manager to improve commercial oversight and outcomes.
