Job summary

Fugro in West Perth is seeking a Lead (Subsea) Project Engineer to lead subsea and ROV project delivery, interfacing with clients and the project team, and overseeing multiple work packages onshore and offshore. You will drive technical excellence and ensure safety, quality and commercial outcomes.

You will apply extensive subsea experience, mentor engineers, review critical documents, and contribute to the integration of new technologies while operating across dynamic offshore programs in

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in subsea/offshore engineering and project delivery.
• Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical, mechatronic, structural, ocean engineering or naval architecture.
• Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Project; AutoCAD and SolidWorks desirable.
• Full driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain offshore survival course and pass the medical exam.
• Australian citizen, permanent resident, or holding a valid work visa.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Project Manager, Project Engineers and Operational Team to execute project work scopes.
• Interface and communicate with clients.
• Take responsibility for large and/or multiple work packages and ensure HSE / quality and commercial delivery.
• Evaluate and enhance emerging and existing engineering technologies, collaborating with the Engineering team to integrate them into projects.
• Supervise and guide senior and project engineers through technical development, design review, constructability, HAZID workshops, and offshore execution.
• Review all engineering documentation prior to Project Manager / Client approval.
• Collaborate with the project manager to improve commercial oversight and outcomes.
