Job summary

Multiplan is seeking a highly experienced structural steel modeller to join our team of motivated staff in Western Australia. This permanent full-time role offers excellent working conditions and regular overtime on major mining, commercial and infrastructure projects.

We deliver fabrication models and drawings to the highest industry standards. You will mentor modellers, coordinate with project teams and utilise Advance Steel, Prosteel or Tekla to create accurate 3D models for fabrication and

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience on Australian mining and industrial projects.
• Modelling of structural, mechanical and platework models and drawings.
• Good knowledge of Australian standards and fabrication principals.
• Proficiency with Advance Steel, Prosteel or Tekla.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed schematics used in manufacturing and construction.
• Prepare technical drawings for structural steel projects and review inputs from engineers.
• Develop and prepare engineering drawings, plans, diagrams or layouts.
• Operate CAD workstations and update drawings as required.
• Mentor modellers and detailers and coordinate with project teams.
• Identify and raise RFIs/TQs early in the process.
