Job summary

The Yard Gym Cairns is seeking an experienced Head Coach to lead our coaching team, set floor standards and elevate every member’s experience. This is a fast-paced, high-energy environment where leadership and mentoring matter.

This 30-hour-per-week role offers a genuine pathway to full-time for the right person, with opportunities to grow within our Global Nike Training Partner studio and help shape a thriving Cairns community. Join a team that values 1% improvements daily.

Qualifications

• Certificate III and IV in Fitness (essential).
• Strength and Conditioning qualifications (essential).
• Proven leadership and team management experience in health/wellness.
• Strong group coaching experience and ability to lead from the front.

Responsibilities

• Lead the coaching team and set the tone on the floor.
• Uphold TYG brand standards across every session.
• Ensure every class is coached and cued from first demo to final rep.
• Support members and build lasting relationships that keep them coming back.
• Develop and mentor the coaching team through feedback and guidance.
• Support studio operations with the Studio Manager and ownership.
• Drive a culture of 1% improvements for yourself, the team and members.
