Job summary

Amescorp is seeking an experienced Site Foreman to lead multiple residential and commercial projects across Newcastle and surrounding regions. You will oversee site establishment, plan reading, coordinate trades, ensure quality and safety, and deliver on time.

You are a hands-on leader with strong communication, problem-solving, and a track record managing Granny Flats, duplexes, and custom homes. White Card and driver’s licence are essential; carpentry trade qualification is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Foreman or Supervisor in residential and/or commercial construction.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and site management.
• Ability to run multiple projects independently.
• Experience with site set out using construction plans and measuring equipment.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• White Card and valid driver's licence essential.
• Trade qualification in carpentry or construction highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site operations across several projects simultaneously.
• Manage projects from site establishment and set out through to practical completion and handover.
• Coordinate trades, subcontractors, suppliers, and site labour.
• Ensure works are completed on schedule and to specification.
• Read and interpret plans, drawings, and construction documentation.
• Conduct site set outs and maintain accurate levels and measurements.
• Enforce WHS compliance and maintain a safe work environment.
• Liaise with project managers, clients, certifiers, and consultants.
• Monitor quality control and resolve onsite issues efficiently.
• Maintain site records, daily reports, and progress updates.
