Job summary

WesTrac is seeking a Shift Supervisor for the Rebuilds Workshop in Tomago to lead a diverse trades team and ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality rebuilds of Caterpillar mining machines.

The 24/7 operation requires strong leadership, hands-on experience with mobile plant equipment, and the ability to manage varying workflows while driving continuous improvement and a positive team culture.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or Electrical trade qualification (Australian recognised).
• Experience leading teams with a strong focus on workplace safety.
• Experience working with Caterpillar/mobile plant equipment is highly desirable.
• Inspiring leadership with a strong safety focus and a positive team culture.
• Advanced organisational skills to prioritise fluctuating workloads and delegate.
• Thrive under pressure, manage high workloads and prioritise effectively.
• Continuous improvement mindset with drive to identify opportunities and implement change.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a diverse trades team to maintain a safe, efficient and productive work environment.
• Drive safety, efficiency, quality and team culture within a fast-paced operation.
• Collaborate with other supervisors and project management to deliver rebuilds to high standards.
• Ensure customers' assets are rebuilt to the highest standard.
• Report to the Area Manager and manage fluctuating workloads with delegated tasks.
