EcoSciences Precinct, Dutton Park, Brisbane, seeks an experienced analytical chemist to lead a skilled team delivering soil and plant analyses. This temporary full-time role runs until 15 March 2027 and supports agricultural productivity and environmental stewardship.

You will provide leadership, technical direction, and strategic insight, drive quality systems, and contribute to method development while engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Must hold a chemistry degree and lead a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience in soil/plant analytical services and NATA quality may be expected.
• Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement.

Responsabilités

• Provide specialist advice and interpret findings for land resources and environment programs.
• Oversee delivery of soil and plant analyses using advanced instrumentation.
• Drive continuous improvement and method development within the Chemistry Centre.
• Foster a positive workplace culture and staff capability.
• Engage with scientists, researchers, government partners and industry clients.
