Job summary

Yarrawonga Health is seeking an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to lead the Residential Aged Care team and support the Nurse Unit Manager in delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You will coordinate clinical operations, mentor nursing staff and act in charge during absences while ensuring safety and standards are met.

The role requires current AHPRA RN registration, 3–5 years of aged care nursing experience and demonstrated leadership.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum 3-5 years' clinical nursing experience, preferably in aged care.
• Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to coordinate clinical teams.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Sound knowledge of Aged Care Standards, accreditation requirements and person-centred care.
• Commitment to continuous improvement, quality and safe care.
• Management qualifications or leadership training, along with palliative care experience, will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Support the Nurse Unit Manager in the day-to-day leadership and management of Residential Services.
• Coordinate safe, high-quality, person-centred care and oversee clinical operations on each shift.
• Act as Nurse Unit Manager during periods of leave or absence.
• Provide leadership, mentoring and clinical support to nursing staff.
• Promote continuous quality improvement, risk management and compliance with Aged Care Standards.
• Collaborate with residents, families and the multidisciplinary team to achieve the best possible care outcomes.
• Contribute to staff education, orientation and professional development.
