Job summary

Southern Cross Care in Darwin is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide holistic leadership to care and support teams, delivering person-centred, safe, high-quality services for residents.

You will assess residents’ health, develop and maintain care plans, supervise staff, and promote meaningful activities while upholding WHS policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing with current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certificates.
• Previous RN experience in an aged care environment is desirable.
• Strong communication skills and English literacy for elder care.
• Excellent time management and ability to support staff.
• Understanding of AN-ACC and aged care funding.
• Knowledge of Aged Care Standards and clinical medicines in aged care.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic leadership to care and support teams to deliver person-centred services.
• Assess residents’ health and functional abilities and develop care plans.
• Promote meaningful social and physical activities for residents.
• Supervise staff in daily living and clinical care and ensure safety.
