Job summary

Respect Emeral Avalon QLD is seeking an experienced Social Care Co-ordinator to lead resident-centered social care programs that enhance wellbeing and quality of life. You will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring activities are meaningful and inclusive.

You will work closely with the General Manager to guide program development, manage staff and volunteers, and build partnerships with local groups to support a vibrant aged care environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Leisure & Lifestyle (or similar) is required.
• Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Current Driver’s Licence.
• First Aid Certificate.
• Strong computer and administrative skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in residential aged care.
• Knowledge of dementia care.
• Experience delivering recreational or complementary therapy programs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and continuously improve lifestyle, therapy and recreational programs.
• Lead and support Social Care staff and volunteers.
• Build strong connections with local community groups, schools and organisations.
• Facilitate resident meetings and encourage participation in program development.
• Maintain accurate documentation, attendance records and program evaluations.
• Manage resources, inventory and social care budgets.
• Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Promote a vibrant and engaging volunteer program.
