Job summary

Gilmour Space in Australia is seeking a Principal Propulsion Engineer (Fluid Systems) to lead the design and testing of rocket propulsion fluid systems, including pressurisation and propellant management. You will drive R&D projects from concept to completion and ensure designs meet stringent standards.

You will review and approve fluid system analyses, contribute to design reviews and test operations, and mentor junior engineers while supporting launch prep and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience leading propulsion fluid systems in aerospace.
• Strong analytical and testing abilities.
• Ability to deliver complex goals with minimal guidance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the selection, design, analysis and testing of propulsion fluid systems (pressurisation, feed systems, engine fluid systems, etc).
• Lead R&D projects from concept through to completion with minimal guidance.
• Support testing and failure investigations of propulsion fluid systems.
• Review and approve fluid system designs and analyses to meet standards.
• Assist in design reviews and test operations documentation.
• Set and maintain fluid system design standards across the team.
• Support launch preparations and operations.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Perform other duties as requested by Management.
