TasNetworks in Launceston (Rocherlea) is seeking a Specialist Project SCADA Engineer to lead SCADA, real‑time systems and protection interfaces across NWTD and other major transmission projects, guiding them from design through commissioning.

You will coordinate multi‑discipline engineering work, manage configurations and outages, and ensure interfaces with TasNetworks’ operational systems, delivering safe, reliable assets that shape Tasmania’s transmission network for decades.

Formación

• Qualified Electrical Engineer with SCADA/real-time experience.
• Experience in project engineering or project management within utility or infrastructure environments.
• Knowledge of electricity network infrastructure and power system concepts.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and coordinate SCADA engineering activities across NWTD and major transmission projects.
• Commission SCADA assets into real-time operational systems with accurate integration.
• Manage configuration, version control and patching of SCADA systems, including outage planning.
• Provide specialist input across design, planning, approvals, construction, testing and commissioning.
• Participate in design reviews, technical meetings and troubleshooting activities.
• Identify, plan and manage SCADA-related deliverables across the full project lifecycle.
• Manage engineering risks in line with TasNetworks’ framework.
• Ensure all deliverables meet Quality Management Plan requirements.
• Collaborate with NWTD project streams, Operations and Principal Contractor for interfaces.
