Job summary

Rapid Construction in Sydney is seeking a Project Manager for Commercial/Industrial Design & Construct projects up to $20m in NSW. You will define project scope, budget and program in consultation with senior management and clients, and coordinate design consultants from concept to construction.

Lead project startup, monitor budgets, procure key subcontractors and provide leadership to site teams to ensure safe, high-quality delivery on CBD-focused projects in the City of Sydney area.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering D&C projects from concept to IFC/for construction.
• Ability to review contracts, manage risk, and procurement scheduling.
• Strong on-site supervision and cost control reporting.
• Knowledge of Building Code, NCC and Australian Standards.
• Capable of liaising with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives, budget and program with senior management and clients
• Develop detailed project programmes, staging and resourcing plans for D&C projects up to $20m
• Lead project startup: contract review, risk register, procurement schedule and communication protocols
• Coordinate design consultants from concept to IFC/for construction
• Ensure design meets client brief, budget, programme and regulatory requirements
• Administer head contract obligations and notices
• Monitor budget, cost forecasts, variations and cash flow; drive cost control
• Establish and maintain the construction programme milestones
• Lead procurement strategy and select key subcontractors and suppliers
• Provide leadership to Site Managers and site teams for safe, productive delivery
