Qualifications

• Certificate III in Electrotechnology (Electrician) with valid A-Grade licence.
• WA Class C drivers licence and national police clearance.
• First Aid, CPR and LVR current.
• HV Switching certificate is desirable; HR licence and High Risk licences are also desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical project works in surface and underground mining environments.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to electrical teams, contractors and apprentices.
• Conduct HV switching, isolation, testing and commissioning activities.
• Lead and support electrical teams on site during breakdowns and unplanned work.
• Plan, assess risks and ensure WAH and other high-risk activities comply with WHS regs.
• Maintain knowledge of mining regulations, electrical standards and site requirements.
• Participate in project planning and scheduling with supervisors and stakeholders.
• Identify hazards and improvement opportunities; implement corrective actions.
• Complete documentation, inspections and reporting in a timely manner.
• Mentor and train apprentices and trainees.
