Job summary

Fisher & Paykel Appliances is seeking a Product Designer to drive the end-to-end design process for grazing and environmental solutions in Australia. You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate user insights into high-quality, scalable interfaces that enhance usability and impact.

You will lead research, create wireframes and prototypes, and contribute to design systems while advocating for customer-centric, MVP-focused design in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting user research and interviews or focus groups.
• Proven track record designing successful digital products with strong portfolio.
• Experience building and owning design systems in Figma and engaging with engineering on components.

Responsibilities

• Own the design process from ideation to implementation within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Lead design initiatives to align product vision with user needs and business goals.
• Advocate for design excellence, ensuring scalable UI components and design systems.
• Conduct research and testing to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points in grazing and environmental sectors.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to guide product development.
• Produce high-quality design artifacts and rapid prototypes for idea validation.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders, communicating design decisions clearly.
• Balance user needs with technical feasibility in an iterative, MVP-focused process.
