Job summary

SimCorp is seeking a Lead/Principal Derivatives Operations Specialist to oversee processing, settlement, and reconciliation of investment transactions in our Investment Operations team. You will mentor junior analysts and drive efficiency while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Based in Sydney with a hybrid work arrangement, you will partner across internal teams and external partners to optimize data integrity, implement new tools, and stay ahead of industry changes affecting operations.

• Lead processing, settlement, and reconciliation of investment transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with teams and partners to ensure data integrity and seamless integration across systems
• Oversee investment operations and drive workflow improvements to reduce errors and boost efficiency
• Guide and support junior analysts to meet goals and maintain high performance
• Develop and maintain reports on operational performance highlighting key metrics and trends
• Monitor and resolve data discrepancies with timely corrective actions
• Liaise between investment ops and other departments to align on objectives
• Assist in implementing new tools and technologies to enhance operations
• Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes to stay compliant and competitive
• Provide recommendations to senior leadership on improvements, risks, and practices

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US

The Lead/Principal Derivatives Operations Specialist in the Investment Operations team at SimCorp is responsible for overseeing and managing operational tasks related to investment activities. This role involves leading a team in processing, settling, reconciling, and measuring investment transactions, ensuring that all operations are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with industry regulations. With typically 5+ years of experience, the Lead Operations Analyst is responsible for optimizing workflows, identifying operational risks, and providing insights into investment performance, while mentoring and supporting junior team members.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

• Lead the processing, settlement, and reconciliation of investment transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure data integrity and seamless integration of investment data across systems
• Oversee the performance of investment operations and drive improvements to streamline workflows, reduce errors, and increase operational efficiency
• Provide guidance and support to junior analysts, ensuring they meet operational goals and maintain high performance standards
