Job summary

QBuild, a unit of the Queensland Government, seeks a Plumber to support regional Queensland assets, including construction and maintenance. You will contribute to safety, compliance, and delivery while mentoring apprentices and collaborating with site teams.

Ideal candidates hold a Certificate III in Plumbing, a current Queensland Plumbing License, and a White Card. This role may involve overnight stays when required and requires strong safety discipline.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Plumbing required.
• Current WHS knowledge and compliance with AS/NZS 3500.
• Current Queensland Plumbing License.
• Current Construction Industry White Card.
• Current, valid Queensland C-class driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out plumbing and drainage works for construction and maintenance.
• Input data using computer or handheld devices.
• Follow WHS policies and site rules; perform risk assessments and manage hazards.
• Ensure personal health, safety and wellbeing and promote a safe workplace.
• Mentor and train apprentices at all year levels.
