Job summary

Protech Group in Townsville is seeking a Qualified Plumber to join government-aligned projects across schools, public facilities and social housing. You’ll report to the Plumbing Foreperson and contribute to construction, maintenance and refurbishments throughout the region.

Key requirements include a Certificate III in Plumbing, Queensland Plumbing Licence, White Card and a Queensland C Class Driver’s Licence, with ability to pass drug and alcohol screening.

Qualifications

• Trades qualification in plumbing is mandatory.
• Current Queensland Plumbing Licence is required.
• Construction Industry White Card is mandatory.
• Class C Driver’s Licence (Queensland) is required.
• Ability to pass Drug & Alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Carry out plumbing and drainage works on projects.
• Ensure compliance with plumbing standards and site rules.
• Work safely around asbestos and other hazards on site.
• Complete daily risk assessments and follow WHS requirements.
• Identify hazards and contribute to a safe workplace.
• Take personal responsibility for health, safety and wellbeing on site.
• Deliver high-quality workmanship with a customer focus.
• Support a diverse, inclusive workplace culture.
• Travel to various worksites around the region.

Reporting to the Plumbing Foreperson you’ll play a key role in the construction, maintenance and refurbishing of schools, public facilities, social housing and various projects throughout the region.

Essential Requirements

• Current Trade Qualification (minimum Certificate III in Plumbing)
• Current Queensland Plumbing Licence
• Current Construction Industry White Card
• Current Queensland C Class Driver’s Licence (or equivalent)
• Ability to successfully pass Drug & Alcohol screening
