Job summary

QBuild, a commercialised unit of the Queensland Government, seeks qualified Plumbers to support government assets across regional Queensland. Join a team delivering construction, maintenance and restoration of facilities such as schools and social housing, with opportunities to contribute to disaster response and to mentor apprentices.

You will work within a public sector framework offering protective benefits, training, and pathways for career progression in a safety‑conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Current trade certificate/qualification (minimum Certificate III in Plumbing).
• Current Queensland Plumbing Licence.
• Current Construction Industry White Card.
• Current, valid Queensland 'C' class driver’s licence or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of WHS legislation and codes of practice.

Responsibilities

• Carry out plumbing and drainage works for construction and maintenance.
• Use office applications and input data as required.
• Ensure safe working methods, asbestos and lead-based products awareness.
• Comply with WHS policies, site rules, and risk assessments.
• Demonstrate personal responsibility for safety of self and others.
• Mentor apprentices and support team training.
