Job summary
Bouygues Construction Australia seeks a PLC Supervisor to lead the installation, testing, commissioning and optimisation of PLC and industrial control systems on the River Torrens T2D civil project. You will oversee site automation, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure safety standards and project requirements are met.
You will mentor site personnel, review control documentation, coordinate FAT/SAT, and support handover with operations.
Qualifications
- Trade or engineering qualification in electrical/automation.
- Experience supervising PLC or automation works on large projects.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and control schematics.
- Experience with major PLC platforms: Siemens, AB, Schneider, ABB.
Responsibilities
- Lead PLC technicians and subcontractors on site.
- Coordinate installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and project procedures.
- Review I/O lists, control schemes, and FAT/SAT procedures.
- Plan PLC loop checks and system handover activities.
- Mentor site personnel and drive a safety-focused culture.
- Interface with electrical, mechanical, and engineering teams.
- Maintain commissioning records and documentation.
