Job summary

Burgmann Anglican School invites applications for a Lead Educator in OSHC across its two Canberra campuses. The role involves delivering the Holiday Care program, mentoring other educators, and supporting the OSHC leadership to ensure high-quality care in line with national standards.

The successful candidate will hold a Diploma in Children’s Services (or equivalent), up-to-date First Aid, WWVP registration, and strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children’s Services or equivalent approved qualification.
• Current First Aid certificate with asthma and anaphylaxis training.
• Working with Vulnerable People Registration.
• Experience leading a team in childcare or OSHC settings.
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead Educator responsibilities in OSHC, including mentoring educators.
• Ensure compliance with National Law and Regulations in OSHC.
• Coordinate excursions, bookings, and attendance for OSHC programs.
• Develop After School Care programs aligned with approved frameworks.
• Support the Director/Assistant Director of OSHC and collaborate with staff.
