Job summary

The Y Canberra Region is seeking a 2nd Qualified Educator to join our OSHC team at North Ainslie Primary School. You will help create engaging learning experiences, build positive relationships with children and families, and contribute to a strong child-safe culture, with hours 7:00–9:00 before school and 14:30–18:00 after school.

Requirements include at least one year of OSHC experience, completion of part/full-time study toward a recognised diploma or degree, and understanding of NQF and My

Qualifications

• Must have at least one year of experience working with school-aged children in OSHC/after-school care.
• Completion of at least one year of full-time equivalent study toward a recognised diploma or bachelor’s degree.
• Strong understanding of NQF, My Time Our Place framework, and ECEC regulatory context.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging, inclusive and high-quality learning experiences.
• Build positive relationships with children and families; contribute to child-safe culture.
• Work Monday to Friday with before/after school care hours (7:00–9:00 and 14:30–18:00).
• Participate in required training and safeguarding initiatives.
