Job summary

NextSense in Liverpool, NSW is seeking an Occupational Therapist - Team Lead to support people with vision and hearing loss. This permanent full-time role reports to the Network Manager - Greater Sydney and offers salary packaging benefits, generous leave, and professional development.

You will lead a clinical team, provide evidence-based assessments, deliver services in person or via telepractice, develop ISPs, maintain records, and contribute to service growth while upholding child protection

Qualifications

• Qualification in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration.
• Minimum 3 years of OT service delivery with solid clinical skills.
• Leadership mindset or experience.
• Desirable: experience with sensory disability clients.
• Experience working toward goals and KPIs.
• NDIS knowledge desirable.
• Willingness to learn new systems and child protection policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based assessment and intervention to clients and families.
• Deliver services in person or via telepractice.
• Use person- and family-centered approaches to build skills.
• Develop ISPs and progress reports with clients and families.
• Maintain accurate confidential client records.
• Complete client administration in line with policies.
• Understand metrics and performance indicators.
• Provide clinical supervision to team members.
• Maintain continuing professional development.
• Undertake other reasonable duties as requested.
• Lead a team of clinical staff and provide day-to-day direction.
• Foster a positive team environment and collaborate with Team Leads.
• Support Network Manager with recruitment.
• Co-lead onboarding of new team members.
• Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and NextSense processes.
• Provide an initial response to client feedback.
• Manage waitlists and team productivity.
• Identify service delivery improvements.
• Partner with stakeholders to address challenges.
• Facilitate professional growth planning.
• Understand financial considerations for service sustainability.
• Coordinate student placements and volunteers.
